I really do love living in London, and sharing a bright house with a best friend is more wonderful than I could've hoped. First photo is the view from B's bedroom window, in the second photo are my "I'm sorry for putting a boy before you" flowers...she forgave me ^.^

This recipe for butternut squash flan was a bit of a success this grey, wet October weekend.
Adapted slightly from Elle à table:
Peel and cut 1 kg of butternut squash into cubes. Steam for 30 minutes or until soft then mash to a purée. In a bowl whisk together 120g self raising flour, 15 cl of milk, 70g sugar, 3 eggs, 1 tbsp of cinnamon and a splash of vanilla extract, then mix in the butternut squash.
Pour the mixture into a tart dish and cover with sliced apple. Cook for 45 minutes at 150˚C.
