Thursday at the theatre

Thursday morning I arrived in London, my best friend surprised me with a trip to the Old Vic to see Six degrees of separation. We drank champagne and ate a meal in Waterloo.

Friday we spent the day in Soho buying coats and shoes, drinking wine in strange bars, eating Brazilian food and yummy Italian chocolate cakes. miam.

Birthday

On the morning of my birthday I got cake and coffee in bed as well as gifts from my boyfriend and his parents. Super wonderful.

Friday night was spent at Filip's place, we drank a lot, dressed up in his clothes and everything got very messy, spilled drinks galore.

Saturday night I got to eat sushi near Parmentier, drink beer and mojitos at a really nice bar on rue st Maur and at midnight I turned twenty-four.

 This time next week I will be in London enjoying a "surprise" evening with my best friend, only hint is to bring my favourite dress. This time next week I will be 24 years old.

I can't find this book anywhere in Paris or online, I would be grateful for any clues.

Finally some sunshine, suddenly your mood lifts and you feel optimistic again. Today I am happy that: 

• I finished work early and could go swimming at piscine Pailleron 
• I found a new velvet hair bow for 50 cents
• I received emails from friends I haven't spoken to in ages and early birthday cards in pink and yellow envelopes.

Now I will go and have drinks with a friend at the bar la cannibale!

Quand je serai grande, je serai..?

Je ne sais pas encore, Je n'ai que vingt-trois ans...

Today I have decided that rather than panic about what I will do from June onwards, I will begin to plan now. But first I will have a little glass of wine, eat dinner and read the magazines I bought today.

Grey.

Today is very dark and grey, even my cardigan is grey and it is hard to keep the spirits up. Pink bow hairclips from friends overseas and a 70% reduction on a pair of Bennetton trousers do help though. 

Swedish Puzzles

With just seven little pieces you can make over a hundred different shapes, it is rather tricky and even once you've made them you quickly forget how the hell you did it. It says that it is by Carl Nelson from Uppsala, Sweden but it was my boyfriend who lent it to me, I think he got it from his Swedish grandma.

Saturday dinner

Saturday night I had a little goodbye night for Sara and Marcus at home. We ate pistachios, mushroom tart and chocolate cake and of course drank a lot of red wine...
