La première gorge de bière (the first sip of beer), a book about the little pleasures in life ☺. I have been working lots this week and that will continue into the weekend, hopefully though I will get the chance to go out and drink and dance and just be about Paris at night. If not a kiss always makes it alright.

white chocolate and raspberry cheesecake.

A very hot bank holiday weekend in Paris spent sunning on the balcony, drinking beers, eating saucisson expertly cut in perfect circles, watching football with the boys, killing mosquitoes and eating lots of white chocolate and raspberry cheesecake. Here is the recipe:

1. Grind 50g digestive biscuits. Melt 100g butter, mix together and push into base of cake tin.

2. Melt 250g white chocolate, leave to cool them mix together with: 125g cream cheese, 125g marscapone. 100ml whipping or double cream and 35g icing sugar. Cover base with mix.

3. Finally push 250g raspberries into the topping

4. Leave to refrigerate overnight.

From my balcony

Japanese paper balloons from Uguisu. They came in the sweetest package, with a Japanese thank you stamp and stickers, now I need to decide exactly where to put them.

La Nuit européene des musées

On European museum night we didn't actually go to any museums despite best intentions. Instead we drank beer at Ben's place then went to a restaurant/bar to listen to music and eat charcuterie/ fromage and drink very nice red wine.

Today I need to close my eyes and dream of summer holidays, that alone will get me through this cold, grey day.

14ème

Today I am happy about receiving free cinema tickets, chicken sandwiches and that it is a bank holiday tomorrow! I am going to go to the Henner museum with my boyfriend's mum and hopefully the sun will be shining. The top picture was taken at parc montsouris, a girl was playing hide and seek with her friends. The second is from cite universitaire, oh how I would like to have lived there when I was a student.

A Sunday afternoon spent exploring the 14éme with my sweet boyfriend; parc montsouris, cité internationale universitaire, rue des artistes, then a little beer on the way home at Pernety. A really lovely way to spend a lazy spring day.

Today I got my Diana F+ pictures back- huge disappointment as only 4/16 came out properly, I will try again though.

Camping.

This weekend I've been camping in the Lake District with my parents, brother and auntie and uncle. Aside from the freezing cold it has been a brilliant weekend full of nightmare uphill walks, sausages, spectacular views, boat rides, ale, wine and lots of the cutest leaping lambs I have ever seen.
