The light was beautiful today in my boyfriend's bedroom, the first picture is of his balcony taken through the window, you can't see all of the flowers but he has taken very good care of them this spring/summer, soon though they will have to be covered up so that they do not die during winter. The second photo is of a skirt I recently bought from Uniqlo in the sale, the polka dots are velvet.
I hope you all had a great weekend.

apple and caramel.

Today I ate Chinese food, read Margaret Atwood's Cat's Eye, worked a little and wandered around Paris a little. Yesterday I had an interview next to the la grande epicerie de Paris, a shop where I could spend all my time and all my money. I decided just to buy tea though; caramel and apple which reminds me of bonfire night at home in England.

keep warm and kiss.

Time to wear a coat in Paris or keep inside and eat bulle and drink tea. This weekend I went to the Festival international de courts métrages at the really lovely Cinéma des Cinéastes, where we got to see some very interesting short films and vote for our favourites.

Saturday night was nuit blanche in Paris, I got to hang out with some of my boyfriend's very nice friends and woke up with an enormous ginger cat on my head. The first photo is the view from my bedroom window before I went out, my quartier was packed with people having a great time. In the second picture you can see my new shiny, shiny shoes :-)

On rainy days like today all I want to do is stay indoors and read. At the moment I really like different Japanese authors and I'm currently reading Sanshirō by Natsume Sōseki, the introduction is written by Haruki Murakami which in my opinion is never a bad thing. I think I'd like to meet young Sanshirō, he is such a sweet character if not a little miserable.
The socks above are my favourite and for some reason they always take longer to dry than all my other socks and tights.
