Bits from last weekend. 

On Thursday at about midday, my boss told me and his wife (who works in the same office) to put on our coats (now we deserve a break he said). So we walked through Saint-Germain to les deux magots. He ordered champagne as an apperatif followed by saumon grillé with mini ratatouille, the best wine I have ever tasted and finally a macaron pistache aux framboises. May all Thursday lunchtimes be like this one I thought!

Unfortunately I didn't take photos so instead you get a window I like in the 14e and a lamp I like in a bar on rue St. Maur.

This past week has been really very busy,  so today I will stay in bed, read and watch crappy tv shows and that is that.

Hello 2011.

On NYE we had a wonderful dinner at my boyfriend's parent's place. Guillemette and Filip were there (bottom photo), Yacine's mum Astrid (top photo) as well as Yacine, his dad Jean, Tansy, Nadjim and me. We ate food from Sweden and Algeria with a little bit of France thrown in and of course drank lots and lots of Champagne. A great way to say goodbye to 2010 in Paris.

royal and not so royal

NYE weekend began with lunch at le cannibal (11ème) with plenty of kir royals and some kirs not quite so royal, a big plate of charcuterie and cheese, spinach and chèvre quiche to share and salads with walnuts. A great start to the festivities with my sweet friend Guillemette who came to Paris for the weekend to join in the fun.
