Two views

Two different views, the first from my room, the second from my office.
I really like getting films back, even though the majority don't come out as I'd hoped or even at all!

Last night I went to my first cocktail mixer for our clients, I found it very difficult trying to work the room! I was very grateful to be be able to leave early and spend the rest of the evening with my sweet boyfriend, he watched France v Brazil, I read for the most part although I have to confess that I kind of secretly, almost like football.

February 5th is my boyfriend's mother's birthday and my present was to cook dinner! I decided to make little chèvre, beetroot and walnut stacks to start, a seafood linguine then cinnamon nutella cake ( i put in a huge amount of Nutella this time, it was a special occasion after all). Now I am cosy in bed watching mad men from the beginning and slowly falling asleep, this week has been so busy that I am happy just to lie here and do nothing, even if it is a Saturday night.

   

Yesterday I received this beautiful gift from one of the Japanese students, a thank you for having found him a great host family in Paris. In my opinion the box was enough of a present, however inside there are 3 packets of chestnut and sugar water sweets that are too pretty to open.

Here are some pictures I took with my little Yashica zoomate. Bucks fizz at breakfast, a bar in the marais we went to just before New Years eve and my grandparents (grandad Colin not shown!) who I miss a lot.
