Today I am very happy about:
-finding the perfect apartment in the 11e, I move in July!
-Rosé wine and new stationery
-the raspberry cupcakes I will make later today
-spending a very lazy Sunday reading, sleeping and eating with my sweet boyfriend

Recently I can but think of being somewhere by the sea. I sit at my desk at work and daydream constantly, I believe this is what working 9-6 does to you no? Anyway yesterday my friend Guillemette (who lives in Brighton) and I went ahead and booked a little trip to Lisbon for July, it was fun and hectic sending emails back and forth all morning and now at least we both have something real to dream about.
The  two pictures are from Greece last year, the first is Anna on a boat :-) and the second is lunch at Anna's parent's house (yes the massive white block on the table is Feta- toujours du soleil et de la gourmandise en grèce! )

Please let me know if you have any Lisbon tips, I would be more than grateful.

A disposable camera picture I quite liked as even though it is a little blurry I like seeing people going about their daily life (does this make me a bit of a stalker type?)
Anyway, I really haven't had time to blog with my new job as I am constantly too tired and don't take my camera anywhere with me. Hopefully this will change soon...
I hope you all have a lovely weekend.

I love food in France, I love everything there is to eat in this country. I particularly like all the little things you can have for appero and of course the patisserie. Bon weekend ☺

rue ste Marthe

Rue Ste Marthe (10eme) is one of my favourite streets in Paris and it is a stone's throw from where I live too. There are lots of little restaurants and bars, especially on the square at the top of the street. My favourite is La Sardine where me and my boyfriend spent a hot day in April having a little drink or two on the terrace.
It is definitely worth a look if you are in Paris.

Sunday, 1 May 2011

On the 1st of May in France you offer a sprig of le muguet (lily of the valley) to bring good luck. Anyone can sell it on the street on this day and all profits are tax free, this morning there were little stalls all over my neigbourhood. Usually it is a bank holiday but as this year it falls on a Sunday nothing much changes! Happy May Day everyone...
