Stormy skies over Paris and two of my favourite summer postcards. Today it feels that summer has ended and that la rentrée has now begun in France. The metro is packed once again and the coffee line at work trails out of the door. I hope there is still some hot weather to come in September but if not I have had a brilliant summer, I hope you have too.

Oh wow to be included in Elsa's 10 new blogs post, I don't think I have ever had this many people look at my blog before! Very flattering and sweet.
1st photo is what I am eating all the time at the moment and what me and my friend Becky munched on all last weekend when we weren't eating ice cream.
2nd photo was taken in a pretty cafe in the Bairro Alto in Lisbon. Bon weekend!

Pretty Lisbon apartments with sunny balconies and pumpkin jam with cottage cheese. Lisbon is a really wonderful city and if you go you defintely have to visit the Feira de Ladra fleamarket on a Saturday morning,  eat tapas at bar 28 in the Bairro Alto, get lost in the little streets of Alfama and take the train to the beach at Santo Amaro or Cais Cais to swim in the icy Atlantic. 

A little while ago we went to a bar in the Marais called Chez Janou, which boasts of having over 80 different flavours of pastis! We tried violette, melon and orange but the melon was definitely the best!
I have just got back from a wonderfully fine holiday in Lisbon, it is very sad to be back in the office but it is only for a little while as next week I will make a trip to the south of France!
